 I shot these last evening when she was being her normal self and I managed to hold the camera mostly steady inbetween my giggles.

I absolutely love my cat. She's hours of fun and has made my life much better.

So as a final thank you to everyone in the 30 day pet portrait challenge this is probably the most accurate portrait montage I've made of her so far.

That's just fabulous :-) No one could look at this and not appreciate how playful, athletic, and absolutely gorgeous she is.

She's a Bengal cat. A cat breed created by hybridising together normal domestic cat and a wild cat called the Asian Leopard Cat. Nikita is several generations removed from an ALC but both her spots and how fiesty she is (and sensitive stomach) shows off her wild roots.

Not that all cats aren't wild, I often think they're the least domesticated of our "standard" pets and that's just the way I like them :)

I will miss seeing Nikita daily....you have taken some very fabulous photos of her. She has such a fun personality (of which I dare to say may get her in trouble some days). My favorite pet was Amadeus...he reminds me of Nikita's personality. He almost didn't last at my house, he was soooo rambunctious but I said, once you bring a pet into the house it is family and you can't trade family in for a different model. Amadeus turned out to be the absolute BEST pet I have ever had. He loved to chase bottle caps. If he brought it back to you to throw again and you weren't paying attention he would bite your leg!!

My current family of cats, eat and sleep....thus it was very hard to get unique photos.

Only downfall....if you use her as a model in a challenge, I will recognize her immediately!!! :-)
