This is a picture of an Ugly melon. They're very good and taste like a cross between a honeydew melon and a cantelope.

Beautifully done... the only downfall IMOP is the line through the melon, which is somewhat distracting.

This is stunning, the only negative I see is the bright line in your back ground. 8

The position of the melon and edge of the mirror gives the unfortunate impression that the melon is about to fall forwards.

Very nice. Only a small suggestion would be less harsh light on the front slice...it's almost, but not quite blown out. But this is still a great image.

Good composition and nice lighting as well. I like the mirror idea as a surface. Nice work :)

The reflective surface is very effective here.

Good points:great focus work
Bad Points: balck is the wrong colour for this shot. and the mirror clutters it a bit

I hate melons, but this is a very beautiful photograph. I like the use of a mirror, and the lighting looks good to me. It works well under the challenge and the more I look at it, the more I like it. I even find the border ties the image together instead of detracting for me. I started with a 7 vote on this but I'm moving it to a 9 - it really has grown on me.

I like the reflections in this but wish the \'horizon\' line in the back wasn\'t there. it seems to divide the picture into halves, and it feels unbalanced because the reflecting surface, the real division, is clearly far below that line.

Very nice. The mirror was a nice touch. The line across the middle is just a little distracting but not much. I like the lighting and it fits the challenge well. Nice border.

Excellent idea! I love it! As for the picture itself, the colors are wonderful, I really like the mirror but the lighting seems just a bit off to me, the slice seems over lit while the main fruit is under lit. Starting with a 6, will be back and probably go higher.
