I love this one myself, and very pleased with the fine textures, and detail I managed to get, by being so close to the subject.

Yes, this is a close-up macro shot taken from this image here which is my "Day 20 Macro" image, called "Cactus Threads".....

snowflakejen was the first, and closest guess, to actually say, what she thought this plant was.
She was on the right track, but talked herself out of it, and changed her mind. So very close.....

I haven't seen all of your macros, yet; but I think this one might be one of my favorites! Not only is the detail incredible, but the colors are exquisite. I can't guess what it is, though!

The green bits in the lower right corner remind me of pineapple skin, but it could be cactus skin too. Maybe it's mould on one of those (pineapple or suuculent).

Well, I will be uploading the larger version of this one tonight, so come on take a guess to what it is, before I do that..... Do you have any idea..... Someone below, was very close actually, right in a way, but then went into another direction.....

Wow - I LOVE this!!!! The colors are beautiful and the detail is amazing - Excellent, Excellent, Excellent!! Kinda reminds me of the center of a cactus - but it can't be - those don't look entirely like needles and it looks like there are seedlings? so ...........I'm stumped.

I actually did think about putting this one in for the "Wind " challenge, but I really loved it so much, I didn't want it pulled to pieces, re the voters if they thought it had nothing to do with the wind.....
It actually does have a lot to do with the wind, in a small "macro" way..... No more clues yet..... Need more comments first.....

It's a wonderful shot. Not sure what it could be, maybe some kind of moss? There's really no way of telling what size it actually is.;>þ
