Well now....I love shooting rain on car windows. I am out of the rain and it really does relieve the boredom of the car ride. It gives me something to do. I had stopped this for a while but I have taken it up again with the Sigma 70-300mm and shooting in macro mode on the lens. I find I really have to focus manually because I am really not far enough away for the camera to register on the rain on the window....the auto focus more often than not goes to the background....not what I want.
So Yesterday I got picked up early in the morning (Anthing before noon is early in the morning on Saturdays) and went with to other choir members to an all day rehearsal out in Bryn Mawr. Rob, the driver, had parked his car under a tree the night before and there lots of little leaves all over the car and windows. They just clung there, very cooperatively. I took about 60 shoots and this was one I thought best represented wind for the challenge. I think the motion of this is the car moving and the wind moving the rain on the window and the leaf. The focus is pretty good on the leaf for it to be otherwise, although I might be wrong (I freguently am).
Post: I think I let the exposure compensation alone in the raw conversion but if I did it was +0.33. Layer adjustments for levels, brightness/contrast and hue/saturation. Layer of curves adjustment. NeatImage. Sharpen. Crop. Resize. Sharpen.

It's a shame that this didn't score higher. But I see you have 6 people that you connected with enough to give out tens, and I was one of those!

This leaves me with more of a feeling of camera shake than wind.

The first thing I thought when I saw this is that you moved the camera. But the colors and composition drew me in right away, and it doesn't matter either way. Simple, abstract, and well done.

Quite nice - I like it. Just enough detail to see the veins in the leaf which is cool.

I like the colors and the compostion, the focus just brings the image down

neat Idea, but a little to blurry for my taste.

Wonderful movement here. I'm so glad I came back for another look at this. What I didn't get the first time round, was that I was looking at drops of water around the leaf. Exquisite in-camera art. I'm bumping up - 9.

I understand the concept of kinetics with this photo as it relates to wind - but everything being so blurry will make it difficult to score well. =
