 I had to crop this close, because it's a small garden ornament about six feet tall. I had to spin the blades by hand.

its no wonder this did so well ...
its a fantastic shot with the blades creating that wonderful translucent look, and the colour is superb .. composition is great too .....

Good idea. Even though the colors are a touch over-done, they lend a surrealistic feeling to the spinning windmill. Clean, translucent, magical, wind powered, love it.

Nice shot. I really like the smooth look of the blades. The long shutter speed made the blades look nice, but the sky is just slightly blown out. Good job!

I would have liked to see the crop a little less tight. If it has to be this tight I like that it's equal though. Nice shot one of my favs so far.

This is my absolute favorite shot in the whole challenge. I would give a 20 if it were possible. The motion of the windmill set against the amazing sunset rules the day. The cropping is also excellent - the top of the blades and the top of the circle missing increase the visual.

Excellent placement within the composition. The hue is soft but I'm picking up a fair amount of noise and haloing on the rudder. Other than that, I think it is a great effort and worthy of a 7. Good luck!
