Location: Phoenix Zoo- Phoenix, AZ

Aperture: f/22

Date Uploaded: Oct 29, 2006

I took this at the zoo. I waited about a half an hour fo him to wake up from his nap, it was worth the wait.

I like this picture because he looks like he doesn\'t have a care in the world, and I feel like he was posing just for me!

Shot in RAW, adjusted temperature, dodged & burned, and cropped.

I find the lion quite soft. Maybe some usm could help.

not quite in focus - sorry - looks like your camera focus locked on that tree in the foreground

Great image. I just wish the lion was not directly centered in the composition (remember: rule of thirds). Even with a landscape constraint, a crop could have worked.

The focus looks a touch soft on the actual lion, or perhaps it's just that there isn't a lot of contrast on the lion.

Great picture. You made it look like you could go up and pet him.

I think it would have done very, very well if the Lion would have been more in focus. To me, it looks like the tree in the foreground is in focus. Anyway...good luck to ya!

Aslan is in fine form in this challenge! :)

the focus point is on the tree...manual focus would have been a better choice in this situation

The tree bark is distracting.

Seems slightly soft on the lion! Nice effort!
