 not hopeful about this picture but am itching to join (predicting a 5.7 average). So busy from my end lately but this week was our term break so i had time to shoot. I went home to the Philippines for a holiday of a lifetime. I took this picture in one of the most beautiful islands I've ever seen - El Nido, Palawan.

One of the best pics I`ve seen on here for some time.
I love the contrasts...between the sharpness of the child and the softness of the bubbles and also the subdued background colour & the irridescence again, in the bubbles.

I wish there was away to make the bubble in the front in focus but alas. It is still a beautiful shot, I hope it does well.

Excellent idea for the challenge - I like having her way on the right and only partially in the frame. Colors are rich and warm. I'd have liked to see maybe just a bit of the bubbles in focus, but it's good the way it is, too.

Gorgeous shot and great use of smaller depth of focus. The whole shot is a bit too dark for my tastes but overall this is fantastic.

Perfect capture! :) The overall exposure and choice of shutter speed(auto or not) is perfect. The point of focus is right on, with the left side being OOF, so the eye is lead to where the girl is blowing the bubble. The background looks very good as well.

Great concept but the DOF did not work for the shot. I like the effort and gave you a 6 anyhow. Good luck!
