 I took this while hiking with family and friends in the Poconos. The rest of the group was ahead, just out of sight. I loved the atmosphere in the woods where we were, especially the ground cover which had an ethereal feel to it. I dropped behind my daughter a bit to include her in the photos I was taking, which annoyed her greatly at the time. This resulted in her stomping far enough ahead for me to get this picture (which she now loves).

Unfortunately, I find the tree in the foreground (splitting the frame) to be a bit distracting. I like the lone figure in the woods, enjoying the experience of being there.

So "impressionistic" in feeling with this one, and visually, just like a painting.....

I can understand what you were going for with the tree in the foreground but i feel that it detracts more from the impact of the image than it adds. Maybe if it weren't so close in the foreground it would have more success in adding to the image.
