I cried when I saw this young man on the beach. He was doing his very best to make it through the sand, but was struggling. I was glad I was able to capture a smile. I think he was an angel... who's courage was meant to inspire us all.

I love photographs like this one because we're reminded of not only how life is for others but how life isn't for us. It makes me feel grateful for my life and reminds me how small my problems are. Very strong photo indeed, thanks for the reminder through your art.

Perfect composition. The starkness of the photo could be symbolic for the stark reality of the situation.
