Gotta love this recipe -- at least my dogs will! I cook for my dogs a few times a week. I feed them cheap cuts of meat, rice or potatoes (or grains) and veggies -- all fresh -- and it is cheaper than buying dog food! My two dogs also eat a can of salmon (when on sale or mackerel) and a sweet potato when I am in a hurry. I can feed them for about $.25 -.75 cent a meal -- and they eat way better than most children. It's so simple... As a society we have been brainwashed to believe dog food is king...on the contrary if you read up on it. Great photo!! |

They may be dog biscuits/cookies but they sure look good. The texture is great, the lighting great as I dont see any harsh shadows, the contrasting color tones appealing. I'm also glad you decided to do a close-up of these. I'm certainly interested in reading the recipe when the challenge is finished. Different and well shot, I like it! |

Interesting shapes. Wish that there was more contrast. Different type of lighting would give some really nice shadows to the food. This would probably get a high score in the "fill the screen" type challenge. |

My dog is drooling on my keyboard! :)
This is an excellent take on the challenge, very unique and managed to get the animal aspect in there, WTG! The shot is a bit busy, lines here and there and everywhere that the bones are going but the different tones of the bones are very nice and offer wonderful contrast. I think I would have liked to seen at least one full treat in the shot with the others all over. I started this one at a 6 but I'm going to an 8, different cropping or angle would have gotten you a 9 or 10 |

I'll be looking this recipe up when the challenge is over, my dog loves treats, and honestly - these look kind of appetizing to me too. I love the detail showing on the 'bones', the colors are a nice array of neutral tones, excellent texture. Great lighting. Focus is perfect. I don't see anything I would change. 10 |

Unexpected and very cool. I suppose it fits the 'prepared dish' criteria. Heck, I think I'd try those. Look yummy. Gets my 9 only because I think people food would have been more appropriate for this. It IS a 10 quality image, though. |
