This is really nice shot. It give a great sense of proportion in how it totally dwarfs the lighthouse.
"What lighthouse?" others may ask... The little red dot at the base of the far tower. |

Please don´t take me wrong, I like your picture very much, and I think most of the people do also, that is the reason it scored so high. What amazed me is that people are voting on the pictures without taking a note of the challenge. That is my opinion that your picture is on the edge of the challenge, the main subject is a bridge over a river, and on the other side of the river is a city, not a landscape. |

| such a great bridge, I live far enough from the the GW that I didnt realize its never lit up. This is a great perspective and crop..good exposure. |

Yes but it is the Hudson River and Washington Heights on the other side.

JPR FYI this will also be lite up like thins on 11/11/06 with the flag again in honor of Veterans Day. Got a permit already.

Thank you everyone, my highest score and placement ever. This was shot on the Day of the 75th anniversary of the opening of the George Washington Bridge between Fort Lee New Jersey and the Manhattan borough of New York City.

| Wow - great night shot! The only thing I can comment on is that I might have liked to see the background (non-bridge elements) a little darker to make the bridge stand out a bit more. Still, excellent! |
