Excellent shot..very nicely processed.
The contrast between the dark shadows and the light at the base of the tree and on the roots is the defining factor for me.

Thanks for the comment. Actually no HDR, I think the overcast conditions helped to achieve a good exposure without any really harsh shadows and loss of details. Basic processing in PS, duplicated background layer and set blending mode to Multiply for sky only. two curves layers one for the sky and one for the forground and tree. Selective colour layer and Hue/sat layer. Sharpen...done. |
