The colors are so vibrant, it's pleasant for the eyes to look at them. I love how you captured the motion. Great composition. Congrats on the ribbon!

Nice shot of a Clear-winged sphinx moth. Their flight looks a little like a hummingbird's. I've had a couple of chances to photograph these north of Montreal, Canada. I'm surprised you have them in Korea too.

Please allow me to thank each and every one who liked this pic.

To answer some questions...

Yes it was a difficult subject to shoot, it is the first time ever I saw this insect and followed it around for about an hour. The Korean people thought I must be a mad man because I was running around, grunting, sweating and swearing like a sailor. But it was worth it for me, of the about 1Gig I shot I can use about 40 pics only.

What made it so difficult is that this thing does not 'sit' still long enough for autofocus. So later on I tried to anticipate it's next flight plan, focussed manually and ...... became trigger happy.

To share I have posted a few more on my portfolio.

Thank you very much once again.

Am I wrong to think that this is a very hard moment to capture? I was thinking I saw on discovery, or something, that this is a very hard moment to actually see. Whatever, very wonderful image. Congrats.

Beautiful gold and greens. The stop action of the moth is really good too. If I were to change anything, I might crop out that touch of another flower at the top. I think there is enough of the blur behind the larger subject flower, to work without it at the top. Rich and lovely.
