 No crop, no saturation. Pretty much straight out of camera. Slight unsharp mask to bring out the bark. Figured this photo really needs shallow depth, wouldn't work without it. Though I think having a bit more depth for the "green" leaves would have worked better. Probably one of my favorites in a while.

Taken around 8:30am PST. Overcast skies.

This is definately a "tapestry" of rich autumn "bokeh" color.....

I agree with you, after a while the softness of the green leaves closest to the bark is a bit distracting. Great capture and great finish.
