Street performer taking a smoke break while watching another performer. I went around the crowd and snap a shot of him. He looked at me when I took the shot.

The tie is part of his gimmick. He was a statue that looked like he was in a hurricane type condition with his jacket being blowned back and his tie whipping about. When you game him money he would move and thank you.

The box that he performed on said "Grey Man". May post a couple more of him.

Not sure if I should make this b/w mainly because the person behind "Grey Man" is sortof distracting?

Looks like he smoked ONE too many ;-)

Working in natural light and natural situations, to me, is much more of a challenge than studio portraits. You've done well here. DoF looks really good. You've captured him at just the right moment.

WOW! Almost as if you're watching a cartoon, and as the smoke fills his lungs, he turns to ash! COOL one. Great focus.

very interesting. i like how you captured the smoke hanging in the air too.

i don't find the person behind grey man distracting, because of the depth of field. but i would play with saturation anyway, maybe reduce greens/yellows but looking at this it will be b/w if you do that.

I love the story behind your photo, I also agree with you that the face behind is distracting. But the one thing I really wanted to comment on is how you captured the smoke from the cigarette in the upper left on the photo. I think that is really cool and you may lose that if you go and turn this image to B&W. The Eyes of the man also tell alot . Maybe try selective desaturation. of the background instead of B&W. This is a great shot, I dont want to see any of the detail lost to a conversion.

I Love this shot.. his eyes are magical.. I'd love to know the story behind it.. is the tie rigged like that or was it windy?.. seriously interesting shot........ :)

*edit to add*
awesome thanks for the story behind the image.. I somehow think something would be lost if you went black and white.. mainly the eyes.. but it would be interesting to play with and see. I love that kind of street preformance.. such talent.
