Well, this has street cars in it, which is, probably, pushing it for the challenge topic, but I wanted to submit it anyways.

Great composition. I only gave it a 6 because it was streetcars instead of trains. I'm such a slave to convention!

The biker is so prominent in this pic, that it takes away from the streetcar which should be your subject. It looks more like a bus from the distance which you shot the picture at.

Nice metro scene. I, for one, certainly include trolly cars in the category of Trains and Rails. I hope others are as well. I like the inclusion here of the bicylist and the pedestrians as ballast to the story you're telling. Your picture is well framed and exposed. Desaturation adds to the "coldness" of city life.

Where is the train or the railroad?

I was just about to declare DNMC, but then I saw the "token" railroad tracks. IMHO RR or train is not actually the subject of this photo. The determined cyclist is the subject. Now, technically I'm seeing some pretty fine hyperfocal distance which makes the title, City Life. :)

main subject is the biker, not the train. tilt is not enough to add to the picture. shadow of pole at left is rather distracting. while the biker is too dark, overall there is a lack of contrast
