This was done with a flashing fibre optic lamp, soooo popular in the 60's, a long exposure time, no other lighting, no flash, against a dark background. To get the shape, I blew on the fibre optics to wave them about during exposure until I was dizzy. I had to use a flashlight/torch to get the camera to focus and to find my way around the set, but did not use the torch during exposure.
Post-editing steps taken:
Crop, brightness/contrast, gamma adjustment, color balance, USM, resize for web. |
