interesting DOF works well here IMO

My is drawn to the base of the stem by the background, and then my eye is drawn up the stem to the in focus part. Very well done!

I like the limited DOF at the end of the stem, and your choice of a black and white presentation.

The placement is very good, as is the detail on the stem, especially the tip. It's quite good to look at.

This is very nice. The radiating lines of the apple really make this a wonderful composition. (Looks kind of like a picture of Nessie from the thumbnail. ;)
