This would be one of the very "BEST" black & white photo, I have ever seen.....
Awesome in everyway, and have now added it to my favorites, and also on my profile page as well..... |

this IS beautiful. If I had taken it would be my favorite too. Excellent DOF and toning. Excellent play of light and shadow. Wow. |

This rocks. I love the light, especially on the lower left corner of the building. Fantastic sky, too. I assume you used a lot of the red channel in the b/w conversion. I love those dark skies with the white clouds. Wow, I just noticed that insanely tilted building in the upper left corner! Outstanding photo. |

Enzo, this is in a class of its own! So wonderfully exciting how you've managed to convey the feeling to the viewer of "gaping up in child-like marvel soaking in the city's depth and life". |

I love how the slight underexposure gives this one a very surreal sense. The perspective is also amazing. Beautiful shot |

no wonder you got such a great vantage point here, you were on that bus. Good idea, I might become a tourist for a day or two myself. This is one of the best buildings around here and oldest. The lighting and the clouds you captured here is perfect. This photo belongs in any book or magazine that needs to show this particular building. |

For me what sets this apart from similar pictures is how dizzying it is. There seems to be three-point perspective on that building, creating a warping effect. The vertigo is enhanced by the strong shadows and dark areas. Finally, you have very interesting clouds, which is essential because all the lines are leading the eye up there. It's kind of like a city in a fishbowl, but I am inside the fishbowl and as small as a goldfish. It's unsettling, in a way that I like to be unsettled. As someone who's spent plenty of time in NYC, you've captured something essential about it. |

...and it took you a YEAR to share this with us?! You must be as behind in post-processing as I am. :D
Many times I've looked up in NYC (trying not to look like a tourist) and have seen some tall buildings. You've captured that feeling of being small and towered over, and caught it at an exquisite time of day with that lighting! Impressive. |

Enzo!!! This is just totally brilliant. Love the looming perspective. Great use of dark tones to really give it character. WOW |

Agree with the point of view on this....it is excellent. Wonderful tones. Just make that border slightly thinner. Well done! |

Good work, Enzo. Like the POV and the tones, looks really warm. Sky is a bit grainy, bottom left corner a tad too dark. Would place "New York" more to the left into the dark area. Copy text is too large IMO and at the end I would rather write "...New York, N.Y." |

Hey can I play in the reaction club? My first reaction was "You sure this isnt an add that you scanned into your portfolio?" Awesome capture. Now from a technique point of view maybe a brighter sky and a little bit of noise reduction on the grainy section on the very top could be nice - but those are very nitpick issues. This shot rocks Enzo. It might be worth contacting the hotel and seeing if they would be intersted in purchasing it. |

The building at the end of Chambers Street - one of the worst paved streets in the city. That's where my wife and I got married. It's the municipal building opposite City Hall and a 10 minute walk across the Brooklyn Bridge from where we live. I like your interpretation of the scene. Center Street, which runs along the front of this building has some interesting scenes, socially, politically, and architecturally speaking. |

Love it - Great work. I don't see any noise in the clouds. Must say that IMHO the thick frame takes away from the photo. |

Love the POV. The dynamic range of the tones is outstanding and overall just a cool shot. Looks a lot like something a large bank would use for a commercial to symbolize thier strength. |

This is outstanding. The tones are rich and the vignetting designed to draw the attention on the beautiful architecture of the building. The sky only enhances a truly masterful image. |

I think its great overall. the pov is very dynamic and the slight vignetting draws the eye in nicely but the clouds look noisy. thats my only critical remark. hth |
