A day late and a buck short on this one - my town is a tough one to shoot since the river is so wide and the buildings aren't as many or neat looking as, nyc for example. I wanted to get somewhere else - really wanted to use the shots from san fran from last weekend!!! - but alas that is dpc, and this is the best I could do on short notice.

Tech notes - I overexposed this one on purpose - before you say anything - because I really wanted to bring out the reflections on the water - the capitol building is so lit up compared to anything else that much over 2 seconds will blow it out - and leave everything else really dark. So you kind of have to live with it being blown out and work from there. I've taken shots from here before, but never with the bridge in frame. I just did it for me to see how it would turn out, and I think that it works really well to lead your eyes in and add detail.

I cropped it some to take out some sky because we can't do panorama's here ( or that's what this would have been) but as you can tell that's what i was going for on this shot - I intentionally wanted to pull back and shoot from far away.

All comments are welcome, thanks for looking.

not balanced cropping between top and bottom of subject (the city)
try cropping more off the top, or leave more on the bottom. 7

This would have been better if you cropped out more of the top and bottom. It would bring your eye into the center more....

I find this a very stunning photograph. Wonderful lighting and color. Very crisp and clear, terrific view. I really like the reflection captured in the water. Good job!

very nice shot, if this were my pic I think I would have tried to get just a little more definition, or detail, into the sky and the water by lightening it up

Too bad about the blown out highlights. Other than that, very nice composition, and very nice reflections
