| great composition, lighting, and colors. the one thing that throws me off is the placement of the knife. it's nice to have a straight line to interrupt the curves of the photo, but you might experiment with other placements. |

Something old. Use your photographic technique to emphasize the age of your subject.
Composition - quite good
Technical Aspects - quite good
Meets Challenge - not convinced. hard to tell the bowl is old
Visual Impact / Originality - pretty good

| Odd angle. It gives the impression of having just tripped up and falling head first over the bowl (which makes it a little uncomfortable to look at). Or maybe that's just me. |

| I looked at this and asked myself what it represented to me. Mediterranean. Fresh. Salad. Picnic. Lots of things came to mind, but not Something Old. Sorry. |

| I think looking straight down into this image makes it appear kinda flat. Also, the light works wonderfully for the leaves/green, but it is a little too much on the lemon, I think. karmat |

| that lemon appears to be overexposed. I don't like the knife handle cut off where its cut off. Otherwise I like the composition. |

| This is a nice composition... the lemon is a ilbble over exposed though... I love wooden bowls and I have a few old ones myself... they just don't 'look' old :) - jmsetzler |

Nice idea, but when you want to show the bowl why did you add the lemon, the knife and the salad on top of it? It's a bit too much for my taste. Especially the bright yellow lemon.
Also this photo if very blurred and looks like it has a bad jpeg compression.
Colors and lighting are nice and it could have been a good photo.
