Aidan and I woke up realy early Saturday morning and went out to Hoover Dam in Westerville OH. I took a bunch of shots of a marina as the sun was coming up and then we drove down to another area that had some peninsulas jutting out. There had to have been close to 50 Canadian Geese swimming around the area. I took a bunch of shots in this area hoping to have something worthy of this challenge. Otherwise I would have to do some crappy self portrait. I think this is in general a pleasing shot but probably not going to score great as it is just average overall. I just need to keep my update button addiction under control.
Shot in RAW (We havebeen playing with this more and more) - variety of adjustments (exposure, sharpen, saturation, shadow and highlight contrast adjustments) before converting it over to PS. Then Selective colors, saturation, levels, USM, NI, brush blurred sky, burned shadows clean, crop, border, resize for web. |

| Very pretty image. The colors are beautiful (maybe a tad oversaturated, but just barely) the geese are all going in the same direction (which is actually hard to find in water). Nice capture, nice score! |

| As far as oversaturated sunrise pictures go, this one did pretty well by my vote - I gave you a 7, and I think it's primarily because you picked the perfect title. And yet another 6+ score. You're a machine, I tell ya... |

| Great balance between highlights and shadows. The colors in this are amazing! I normally don't like shots split down the middle of the frame by the horizon, but I can see here that it was a compositional decision. Keeping the tree along the upper third without cutting the top off makes this composition the best choice. Well done. :) |
