 This shot was taken into the sun to provide back-lighting on the falling snow and sparkle on the river. I shielded the camera from the sun by standing behind a tree.

It's snowing in this shot. I deliberately stood in a place where the sun would illuminate the snow as it was falling and blowing. Perhaps there wasn't enough of it to make that clear.
