Wake up at 6 am (yawn), go to the riverside, wait for dawn, shiver a bit, shoot away... select the best shot (or rather, the less noisy...), and then:
Crop, cloned out a light and some distracting ripples on the water, levels, curves, neat image, selective gaussian blur on the sky, unsharp mask, sharpen, neat image again, resize, sharpen, border. Phew!
My camera is very nice and at the same time terrible for this. Nice 'cause of the IS: this was shot handheld at 1/4s... Terrible because the sensor's crap, and ISO 400 is very very noisy. Had to neat image the heck out of this. Ah well. Boy do I need an EOS 400. :-) |

| 8: Very nice. I think the top and bottom are too close to being even (ie: the horizon in the middle) but the general feel is good and the colours are nice |
