 I don't know what these things are but as a reference for size, they are clinging to a wire on a crab pot and the grains on the wire are regular sand.

One of the reasons I love macro so much is that it can capture what the nakked eye can't. Perfect example here. Who knew that sand could be so interesting. Good work.
