I appreciate all the comments made. Urban Landscapes was my first challenge and in the process of shrinking my image to upload it in the required file size it acquired the grid. The grid does not appear on the actual image. |

I take it these are the grid lines being talked about in the forums. The buildings themselves seem very dark. Nice angle to the shot though. |

The grid in the sky is distracting, good colors. |

was this taken through a window? it has a very distracting grid pattern all over it, which is a shame. |

i wish the hotel had been more present in the picture. the dark buildings around it kind of ruin it. |

are you behind a netting or glass when you took this? there are very visible grid lines especially on the blue sky. anyhow, this photo does convey a strong sense of urbanization to me. 7 |

Can anyone else see an odd pattern / noise in the sky part of this shot? Distracts from an otherwise good photograph. |

It looks as though it was taken through an insect screen . Is that what the grid is? |

Like the idea but the blcked out shadows lower third and the mesh pattern over the whole image do rather take away form what is a nice composition. |

Fantastic, I love the light you've caught here, this was a good time of day for this shot. Great saturation. I like the grid pattern in the sky, although I'm not quite sure what it is. However, the composition doesn't quite work for me. In my opinion, the new yorker building needs to take up more of the frame. 7 |

not sure if you can see it on your monitor, but the image has a lot of lines, like a grid all over it, more noticible in the sky....Im not going to take away from the score for that, because there are many other things I like about the image, like lighting, color and composition.... |
