I had another shot with a hoodie, but it wasn't as creative. I came up with idea on the last night, so I hurried up to execute it.

My wife attached an apple to the ceiling with a string and tack. I set up two lights, and my sky background. Then I carefully framed her and the apple.

Post: Edited the string out, and fixed the background a little. Curves, Hue/saturation, etc.

i sooo thought about doing this, but a better opportunity came about. Plus it doesn't help when you're a girl, but you know that. Props for doing this, I just wish more of the face was hidden. 8

For a second there I thought I was going to get through the voting without seeing a Magritte type shot. Nicely executed.

I probably ought to know who René Magritte is.
It's an OK image but the expanse of black with the shadow detail blown really bugs me.

i'm left wondering why you didn't use a plain background. also i like the idea of the daughter angle, but would have liked to seen her hair down so she does indeed appear more feminine, rather than like the original

She is the apple of your eye! I like the baggy suit. I wish the background were a little more blurry, though I understand that unless you have a really big apple, such a thing would not be possible in a small studio.

Interesting photo and certainly creative. But where is the essence of the person in this shot?
