 This is me sitting in our temple during Sukkot, the holiday that commemorates the temporary shelters the Israelites built when they wandered in the desert after being freed from slavery in Egypt.

Many Jews build a sukkah during this holiday, and will eat or sometimes even sleep out there. The sukkah can have many forms, but the key thing is that the ceiling be open to the sky. The sukkah is decorated with seasonal fruits and vegetables, and kids will often make paper chains and other crafts to hang up, too.

Visible in front of me is the sukkah in my temple's sanctuary.

Jeffrey, its so nice to "see" you in person :) to have a face to attach to the friendship :) I agree with Melethia about being surprised by the score. I like it, and knowing the story behind it makes me like it even more!

I thought this might be you! Nice take on the challenge, and I'm really rather surprised at the score - I truly think it should have done much better. I like it most for what it tells us about the face on the other side of the picture.

Difficult to award it anything above 5 to be honest. The image doesn't hold my attention. Because the face is not to be seen there has to be something else which grabs the attention, maybe you intend that to be the cap?

A little busy for my liking. A shallower DOF might have worked better. hth
