A pretty simple portrait that I didn't know whether it would turn out or not.

My wife placed her hands on the static charge globe and there was a tremendous amount of electricity discharged...very unexpected.... and she took her hands off immediately. I asked here if she could stand it just long enough to grab a few shots and she endured but I wasnt sure if the electrical bolts would be too bright and blown out.

The only difficulty was all the tiny reflections and imperfections in the globe that had to be cloned out without touching any major elements. I was lucky that when I did a selected colors to add contrast a lot of the background elements faded away to make the photo cleaner looking.

A bit of dodging and burning to add some contrast and Ta-Da!

Hope people like the feel of this as much as I do..it has a bit of a "Mother Nature" feel to it (women being the source of life , etc..) thus the title.

-Crop
-Levels
-Noise Ninja
-Clone out some glass reflections
-Dodge and Burn in some contrast
-Select colors to lower reds and increase blacks and blues
-Sharpen
