There is a local park with a remote control plane airfield near to where I live. When I saw the challenge I instantly thought of a Ducky with the flying goggles and aviator scarf (both are homemade). I met an older gent, Joel, who was very friendly & willing to let me pose my Rubber Ducky next to his plane - he even brought out another smaller one and placed the duck on top of it. I liked this one the best because the composition reminds me of the old style photographs of famous aviators. At first I was going to title it Flight Check. Then when I saw the composition, I played with Daniel McDuck: Captain of the Flying V Squadron, but I felt it was too long. I also felt that that title would better suit a photo with a plane that was more like those old WW II fighter planes with a fierce mouth on it. It was when I remembered Amelia Earhart that the title finally came to me.

Sometimes I wonder just how people think these ideas up. This is way over the top in the best possible way.

The ducky gets a little lost with the leg just in front of its face. I think it may have turned out better if he was slightly in front of the leg or just behind it. My eye follows the dark line of the leg to the white scarf and then must work its way back to catch the duck pilot. Very original concept though. 6.
