| I originally scored this shot very low and coming back to it and looking at it more closely I think I can tell you why. I like the concept, the sense of urban is very strong in this shot but the shadow cuts the picture and throws it off balance to me and the wires coming off the building to the right are very distracting. Maybe from a different angle, a different crop and this would have scored much higher for me. I am raising the score a few points from the original one I set but can't go too much higher. Sorry. |

Positive comments: This photo definitely meets the challenge topic. The eye is taken left to right across the photo and continues on down the road.
Critiques: It has some compression issues that probably came from resizing. The wires and the sky are pixelated. The uneven lighting caused by the shadow line across the building detracts from the foreground. I didn't get the feeling the stairs were the subject since they are partially hidden by the stop sign.

| For the stairs to be a subject, you need to get much closer to them. What stands out in this photo right now to me are the electrical lines... |
