This doesn't really seem like high contrast, it seems very soft to me.
As far as the photograph, the babies head should be turned a little more so you could see more of the face. |

| Chubby kid! Cute as hell. Why does everyone have to put a border around everything!?! I can see this by itself - no border just hanging in glass. |
