a couple of constructive criticisms. A centered composition (kayaker right in the middle) tends to be a little boring. A better composition would have had him in the right side of the frame, giving a sense of him moving into the frame. I'm usually all for breaking the rules (rule of thirds here), but in this case, I think the rules would work. Also, the out of focus subject is distracting. Hard to get moving subjects in focus. Good use of the entire tonal range, though. |

the focus point is on the trees at the back, so the rower is out of focus...sorry as this is a good composition and vantage point...also, is it high contrast in the true sense of high contrast? perfhaps not |
