 Caught this during a visit to Museum Insel Hombroich. The effect of the open door showing a brigthly lit room, surrounded by trees and bushes, was very impressive.

BTW, also the first day I tried out my new Nikkor 18-200mm VR. The VR is great, but the distortion of this lens (notice the direction of the upper and lower part of the doorway) is bothering me quite a bit.

Processing: unsharp mask at 20%-60px for defogging, applied twice, rotation to try to make lens distortion less visible, crop, conversion to BW, resize, unsharp mask at 300%-0.5px for sharpening.

good execution of the challenge. dark and light as two different worlds. The subject passes from one to the other. 7

great use of high contrast - simple and beautiful photo. only nit pick is that it feels like we aren't square on to the wall, and my view is drifting to the left, might just be a optical ilusion though.

The concept is thoughtful and I can't help but wonder if the model could be changed to an older person at the end of life perhaps with a cane crossing the threshold into.... 7.

Ohh no- we needed more of the door. Framed a little bit more above the door may have balanced better.
