I just realised I used an illegal basic editing technique to convert to B/w. I used 2 layers of Hue/Sat, the bottom one in Hue Blend mode.

I apologise for this error and request a self DQ

the white of waves bring out a nice contrast. perhaps a lesser exposure could have made the darker parts darker :)

I like the way you waited for the wave to come up through the fence, leaving the foamy surf to contrast with the dark tones of the fence and sand.
