 I wanted to enter this challenge so I got up fairly early and went looking for something somewhat backlighted with complimentary colors so it would be easy to get the contrast needed when it was converted to b/w. Then I saw these and the light was coming from the right side. They had water behind them. I used a nd filter to get the picture underexposed a bit.
As far a scoring goes, I don't think it will do to well. First, there were the 2 dandylion pictures that just won. Even though this isn't that flower, it will affect the score. Then there will be a lot of entries. And third, it might not be contrasty enough for the voters even though I like the amount of low/mid tones I left in the picture.
pp: crop, convert to b/w using a yellow filter, histogram adjustment to narrow out the mid tones, resize, usm.
