Looking at this I can almost feel what it must be like to fly. The energy, the wonder, the beauty of it all captured in this one shot. Your 499th placing is a crystal clear illustration of the mindset of the voter. The voter doesn't care about what your photo is about. All they care about is if you know how to work camera settings and other technical nonsense. Well to those voters I'd say you worked your settings just right to acheive this masterpiece. Well done!

kinda funny that people are saying and voting that the bird id OOF when it is quite obvious at that level of blur it is intentional. While this is not something I would personally like I think you ahve done a wonderfull job. If I had voted I would have given an 7 or 8. great job. |

You know, this isn't bad. I think I would have cloned out the sharp fringe at the front of the far wing. I'm sure this is getting hammered, eh? Something speaks to me though. Extra point for the balls of entering this at DPC (which tends to shriek at abstracts unless it's an abstract challenge). 7 |

I rather like the effect. I don't know if I would of made the border so wide |

Subject is blurred and image is too dark. |

If the bird had been in focus, this would've been a great photograph. My opinion is only one tho. :) |

Ya know, I did something VERY similar to this shot, and I got slammed for it. I imagine you also are feeling this same effect. I like the colors of the water, a part of the gull seems to be blown out. The reflection is wonderful. I could do with a different border, but thats personal opinion more than anything. |

I really like this...I love the colour and the blur in the seagull, and I love the black frame...unfortunately, a couple of things I like aren't really popular with the voters, so I hope this image is doing well for you...it's fantastic! 8 |

This is a good impressionistic / semi-abstract shot which really shows off "movement". On the downside the bird has some odd colour to it. |

Good colors, it is impressionist...but doesn't quite float my boat. Perhaps as a series. But it is excellent in it's color tones. |
