 I actually shot off about 50 pictures of this patient little fellow. He was a good sport and handled the camera well. He never flinched once - even when I sneezed. Thanks buddy.

This was a day that I spent out on the cliffes with my mom & dad near home. It was very relaxing & special for me. It was my September memory, that's why I put it in the Free Study.

Not much was done to him in terms of advanced editing - just cropping, color adjustment to bring out the red of his legs & purple of the sky; saturation & contrast; then a little sharpness; midtones a little; and then back to saturation and color adjustment again.

I'm sure I could have done more with him --- if I knew how, so any advice is welcome.

Post-voting => Guess it was too small? ;-)
But actually, just because a certain number of pixels is "allowed" - who says that we have to actually use them all? ;-)
I wasn't even planning on submitting, but I thought he was so cute, what the heck? Thanks for the comments everybody. I really like the shot and had fun with him.

I dont know how I feel about this. What I do wanna know is why you would post such a small photo in a challenge were you had 700pixels to work with.

Interesting perspective here. Would be nice to see the amputated limbs and antenni. We're allowed 640 pixels in most challenges, 720 on this one. Generally for most crops it pays to use as much image size as allowed to good effect.

Good quality close up image with nice colour and detail. The backgroun is suffering a little maybe from resize or just general noise, and it'd be nice if it was larger, but fairly good overall I think.
