 I had been shooting for a few hours at the track and had some great shots, but nothing to fit the contest. Then, the sunset came along. A silhouette against the bright orange clouds! YES! Tons of contrast! I set up the shot and this one was the best out of about 30 or 40.

RAW, 100mm. Processing: Pulled the top of the Curves Tool down to pull out the hot spots in the clouds. Boosted the saturation by 20 to reveal the colors better. Noise filter moderately high to reduce the noise accoscated with the higher ISO and the solid expanses of color. Oh yeah. Created a Contrast adjustment layer. Boosted moderately, then backed off the opacity to 60.

I love the crispness of the ground silhouette. It's those weeds on the left balancing out the motorcycle that make this work for me. 7
