Although I can see that you increased the contrast to create this 'high-key' look, the light itself is actually pretty flat. On camera flash is really tough to use and get good results with for portraits. I know that bathrooms can be difficult for window lighting, but natural light would have really imroved this image. I love his expression and the angle is nice and whimsical for this shot. I think it would be better without his hands cut off. You have a really cute little one, here.

is it high contrast in the true sense of high contrast? perhaps not...great image...but not for this challenge

If the hair were darker, I think the high contrast would really have more pop but I gotta tell you, those eyes surely do! I'd crop so that the ball, or toy on the left was eliminated. Fun shot. Love the clarity and the expression.
