 The Maroon Bells, yet again. I am very hesitant about entering this since my August Free Study was from the same location. However, I had planned on getting my Sept. Free Study while on my annual Fall Colors road trip, but I didn't capture anything I liked more than this.

Top 10, can't complain about that. Thanks for everyone that commented. I anticipated worse, as I realized too late that I needed to push contrast up just a bit more.

Nice shot. You could enter several of these each year. I for one dont get tired of this view. Contrast bump? sure. That would have probably have changed your "1" vote to at least a "3". ;)

Mark, you should have a ribbon for this...but with 612 entries coming top 10 is a fantastic achievement...I reckon there should be a ribbon soon, cause your work is exceptional

Woo Hooo!!! Way to go! Top 10 in a challenge like this is AWESOME! I was hoping to see this in the top 3, but top 10 with a 6.9 score is certainly something to be proud of!

The colours of the landscape are great here in what must be one of the finer reflection shots in the challenge. And there's been a few.

it's the return of Brent Ward! Nicely shot. The contrast seems just a bit low, but it's possible that more contrast would have quickly blackened the evergreens to a muddy mess. 8

Not sure if the orange tops were in the original or if you added the effect to simulate a sunset glistening off the peaks. Either way I think it stands out way too much since the rest of the picture conveys a calm serenity...

This photo is absolutley flawless. It looks like a painting without losing the realism of excellent photography. I've seen several photos of the Maroon Bells, and I really think this may be the best one I've seen. For sure the best winter one. Congratulations. I'd love to see this one ribbon! 10
