 Took pictures of lots of different flowers in Taos for the Purple Challenge - liked this one the best. For some reason a lot of the purple flowers looked blue in the pictures. Some of them couldn't even be turned back to blue in Photoshop with Hue/Saturation. Very odd.

This one was the most purple looking - it is kind of tattered and torn but the flowers are almost at the end of their seasons. Here in the San Luis Valley where we live all of the flowers are dead - it is a bit warmer in Taos.

Editing: Crop; levels; curves; hue/sat; selective color; contrast; noise removal with Helicon Noise filter; resize; smart sharpen; save for web.
