beautiful moment you captured! I love the composition and the grain, too. I imagine if you use e.g. NeatImage the photo will be way too "smooth" and will loose it's wonderful cosy mood. |

Check Save for Web settings. Could have been much closer to a ten...as is five. :( |

The graininess works very well to create a nostalgic moment; reminds me of the old super-8 movies my parents have of my childhood. I would crop out a bit more of the foreground. Nice work! |

It's a little grainy...I like it for this photo thou. I think a crop just above the forks and behind the '5' would have totally made this shot. Happy Birthday kid...mine is in Septmember too! |

OK...want to be kind here...great pose and a lovely capture for a birthday, but the graininess in the image diminishes the quality of this...happy 5th birthday little girl just the same |

now see, the image here works for me. It gives it a sort of old fashioned feel. Did you try making it a bw or even tritoned? |

Love the lighting!! Very nice, soft photo. Like the composition. My eyes keep going in a triangle between the child's face, the candles and the forks. Very cool. 10 |

Considering the limited light, you've done fairly well here. It could have used a tidying up with a noise filter. |

perfectly timed and nice emotion here...unfortunately, all that noise really does detract from the shot. |

Reminds me of Norman Rockwell. Keepsake shot. |

There are many technical issues with this image - pixelation, sharpening artifacts, weirdly blurred spots. However, looking past all those editing issues, there is an extremely well composed, well lit image. I love the image itself and would really like to see a re-edited version. |

you captured a special moment with good composition and focus. The grain works for me in this classic looking shot and the glow on her face is just right. There are a few distractions like the red line leading to the childs chin (ribbon?) and something on the shirt, but i love this beautiful image, its the kind of shot that will be treasured always. good job! |
