Thanks for all your comments.
The 'stars' were added using an 'in-camera' digital filter, "white cross filter". The camera decides where to put the stars, based on bright highlights.
Once the pic was out of the camera, main adjustments were saturation, where I removed all colors except blue and magenta, and increased the hue of blue to make the purple more vibrant.
Oh, and for those who didnt see the irony - you mustnt know many Catholic girls :)
(PS - 24 1's and 2's? Come on, it wasnt THAT bad. Maybe you all thought it was spot-edited? Ah well.)

Great shot. I like how you desaturated the pic and left the purple.
I see this has been validated - Just curious how you managed the "shine" legally? |

Which is the greater irony, the handcuffs or the sexy outfit? Anyway, an interesting photo. Did you use a starburst filter to get the highlights off the jewelry? |

This shot reminds me of Madonna LOL... anyway I like the light flares on the rosary and handcuffs, good job of depicting irony. |

Hm, someone got her intentions crossed (forgive the pun). The dress really makes this too because it is so skanky and brilliantly purple where the rest of the shot is grayscale. |

Were we allowed to disreguard the rules for this one? I can still the purple in the points of the stars. So, to me, this was obviously desaturated and manipulated using layers. Such a pity because the photo is really good except for the hot spot on the handcuffs. Prove me wrong and I\'ll give you a 9 instead of a 1.
Changed to a 9 and eating my hat. Thanks for being so nice about the whole thing. |

very funny, creative idea. don't like the color combinations, "stars" look way overdone. |

Not a bad shot, but it could have been better without all the stars, I know what you were going for but it's very distracting to me. But overall a good shot |

Congratulations on being one of the few who really know what irony means, while making a visually interesting photo! |

Frankly, I don't care if this is irony or not. I absolutely love this shot. The composition could be less centered and create more interest, IMO.
I like the use of color, very appropriate. (yes, I'm a recovering catholic) |

good idea. I think it would have worked fine without the star filter. exposure is pretty uneven, with the glare on the handcuff being the most obvious overexposure. |

Being arrested - or into S & M? Too common to be ironic I fear |

Good idea although a bit blown out on the handcuffs. How did you manage to get those star effects without spot editing? |
