Shot this while walking to the bus stop on my way to work. I think taking the exposure reading on the flower while in auto white-balance mode caused the significant color shift in the background, although the flower color looks pretty accurate.
Because the photo was taken in portrait orientaion, it came into the editor rotated 90 degrees clockwise, and when I cropped to a square I just left it that way, especially as it helps disguise the rather mundane backgound.
Shot in macro mode with early morning sunlight. Resampled up in 5% increments 5 times to make large enough for a square print, followed by a small amount of USM.
