How do we know if it is really falling or in flight? The white background keeps us from knowing. The blue border is to much IMO. 6

Borders should be illegal. At least this one. lol (Just kidding around). I like the tone of the leaf and the composition. Could be a better finished product.

Nice, although I find the blue a little strong. Might have been good to position the feather slightly less centrally, which may give it more of a sense of movement.

The angle that the feather is shot at makes it seem like it falling or floating. I'm think you are using negative on your camera. It gives the feather a beautiful color. Beautiful blue hues in the feather. The frame works perfectly with the shot.

I like your idea very much, and I even like the blue on white. My only constructive criticism is that the feather is out of focus.

Very powerful contrast and nice framing. With the "washed out" background, it's really difficult to say "this is off the ground" or not. In a different type of contrast, hard vs. soft...the background is very hard, the subject is soft, that's nice, but the extreme processing gives the soft feather a "hard" feel. (Does that make sense?)

What if you had put the feather further down in the image? That would imply that it was falling. Your composition is too centered. An off center image is more interesting. 6

It's difficult to see if it is flying or not. The colors are good, blue and white are always a good combination. The feather does appear slightly on the blurry side however.

That nice, delicate feather and that horrible obtrusive blocky border. Shame. Score: 7
