Thank you for the comment Rafwhett. An interesting question and I am inclined to agree with your comments. I chose b&w simply because I wanted to experiment with and learn the different ways the conversion can be done. I have a few colourful landscapes in my portfolio already and wanted to add something a little different. I still have much to learn about b&w conversion. It̢۪s ironic realy because when I used to shoot film just about all I ever did was black and white.

Nice scenery. May I ask a question? why did you go with b/w, I would love to see the colour version of this. You have water, trees, field and a cloudy sky. All potentially colourfull subjects. I don't find that there is enough of an intersting subject or form that can carry a b/w here. It is also too noisy for my taste. I don't mean to be harsh, the composition is pleasing and I think this can be a great landscape image if it were in colour.
