Vivid colors! Ref the challenge I do see the "Irony"... eliminate some of the dead space...

This is entirely unrealistic to me - McDonald's (as the fries suggest) would never give a customer a can of soda, but they would a cup of a fountain drink. Never have I ordered a can of Diet Coke at McDonald's. But good start.

This is definitely my wife's theme.....Diet and a Danish combo for breakfast everytime!
fits the theme exactly
Only negative is on the tight cropping but does fit the rule of thirds nicely.....

Very nice and fits the theme well. So many people do just that! My only comments (and take them as you wish as I'm hardly a pro) would be to fit the rest of the "C" in the picture and also the tops of the fries.

I feel the lighting on the left of the chips box is a bit harsh, it looks as if theres a bright halo along the edge, and also the reflection on the top of the can is overexposed (lost the shaping on the top). Other than that the lighting is nice along the edges of the can and chip box, nicely positioned, and I like the cropping. Fits very well. The border is nice. --8

As you can see from all the variations on this theme in this challenge, it's something of a cliche. This is well executed and a clean composition - which many of the others are not.

Darn, my idea I never got around to carrying out. I'm glad I didn't, because this is better than what I would have done, I'm sure. Great lighting... good to see you avoided glare on the can. Nice background, very effective. Good composition. Nice work. 8
Edit: Incredibly, this is the only photo I gave 8+ to, making this my favourite and highest scoring picture.

I had considered doing exactly this for my own shot! You pulled it off very, very nicely. Very nice & simple. Almost looks like an advertisement photo.
