I think I like this one even better than your "Day 18". Something about the balance of shapes/composition in this one that really is appealing. Beautiful. |

VERY artsy! I like this alot. It's composed well and has an almost abstract sense to it. |

I like several elements of this shot. The lines lead right towards the midsection which just one of the places on body that deserves attention but in doing this the lines behind the body emphasize that feminine curve of the back (ok the curve isn't feminine I suppose but I immediately perceived a femininity from that curved back). You also used the parasol to fantastic effect; where the fabric extends over dark the viewer is presented with that lovely red color as the only color in the shot (almost) but as the fabric flows across the dark area and into the light it becomes translucent which affords the aforementioned view of your frame, this is fantastic. It looks like someone hiding behind something without knowing how exposed they are. The mussed hair in the silhouette just accentuates the feminine effect.
The only things that really bother me on this shot are the leaves on the parasol (and what can you do about those anyway?) and the slight purple fringing around the top of the parasol just behind and in front of your head. This lessens the effect of the red on the black & white. Great shot. |
