Is this the ocean? Looks like a lake with trees etc. Great angle - slightly over exposed - excellent capture. Background is a bit busy (can't help that though). How would this look in b+w? It may make the gull come forward more, since the background is not very interesting, the gull is quite colourless and it does not aid your title!

Very interesting angle caught here. Love the colors off the water and their effect. The problem I see is that it does not bring the bird out. He seems lost in the photo, without being highlighted. It is like he blurs into the water. If you understand that(?)

This picture is virtually flawless. notice the contrast with the black and white of the bird while, at the same time, the beautiful blend of the blue and green from the water. WOW! The wing span and angle - not to mention the definition.

At last, a head-on bird instead of its bottom! I like the framing and focus. Wings look a bit overexposed, though.

Well seen and captured.

IMO it looks a little over sharpened but for a difficult subject the lighting is good.

A bit too much saturation (I think), it makes the wings seem over-exposed. Nice action stop! I like the angle of this photo, nice capture. 8 Rob the Swash
